Hoosiers are just days away from seeing their gas prices higher than they've been in months.

Indiana's suspension of the state gas tax has saved drivers money at the pump, but it has also delayed hundreds of millions of dollars that normally go toward road projects across the state.

The reimbursement plan comes after Braun paused Indiana's gas tax in April as fuel prices climbed during the conflict involving Iran.

While the extension of Indiana's gas tax suspension is helping Hoosiers save money at the pump, officials in southern Indiana said it could also mean less funding for road repairs and maintenance.

State law allows cellphone use by drivers only with hands-free or voice-operated technology, except in emergencies.
