Some parents questioned why Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) held in-person classes Wednesday instead of using Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI).
The accident happened around 9 a.m. at the intersection of 35th Street and West Market Street.Â
The district’s Bus Finder tool allows parents to look up their child’s bus stop location, pickup and drop-off times.
Impacted families will be asked to choose between getting a bus stop or continue getting stipends for driving their children to school.
More than 300 students did not respond to the intent survey, but JCPS counted those students as returning.

Resides schools are set by boundary lines and aren't necessarily the school closest to your house. If resides schools are over capacity, the district will then need to look at adjusting boundary lines.

The district said the only transportation it can guarantee for the 2024-25 school year is for "special education students and students attending their resides school."
The district will address the problems in a new report during a Board of Education meeting next Tuesday, Dec. 5.
