Former Scott County sheriff’s deputy Joe Baker says he is on a new path in life, finding a way to keep helping others — even without the badge.

Two Scott County, Indiana, deputies who were arrested last year for having and dealing illegal steroids and testosterone pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance.

He was arrested and fired from the department last week after an investigation found that he had illegal steroids and testosterone in his house.

Former addict Nikki Jarrell said she wants the community to also know the side of Baker that saved her life.
