Traffic declines during the coronavirus pandemic led to lower-than-expected toll revenue for Kentucky and Indiana.

The move approved Tuesday by the Kentucky-Indiana Joint Board addresses aspects of the toll network that have been under scrutiny for years.

It's now likely that RiverLink, the high-speed toll network between Louisville and southern Indiana, won’t meet its revenue goals for the first time since opening in early 2017. 

Once expected by this fall or early winter, the construction plan for the $92 million project now would be unveiled during two public meetings in early spring.
