Gov. Andy Beshear warned Kentuckians on Tuesday about the dangers of being outside for long in these temperatures.

Winter Storm Fern brought heavy snow and sleet to the Louisville area and southern Indiana this weekend.

Louisville residents now have an easier way of staying updated on power outages at their home or business.

Parts of Kentucky received up to six inches of rain from Feb. 15-16 as freezing temperatures hit the region. Counties around the state faced flooding issues because of the storms.

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear confirmed five people died Sunday after severe storms tore through the state, dropping several tornadoes and leaving tens of thousands of people without power.

As of 4:30 p.m. Friday, an estimated 1,013 customers were without power in Kentucky.
