A bill overhauling Louisville Metro government now includes a moratorium on changes to rules guiding building, zoning and other land use in the state’s largest city.

Hurstbourne residents did not pursue the two remaining legal avenues to stop the golf-and-entertainment complex planned for the old Sears building at Oxmoor Center.

The decision comes more than 16 months after Hurstbourne residents challenged a Jefferson Circuit Court ruling that land-use approvals for the planned golf-and-entertainment complex at Oxmoor Center were proper.

The report is the first step in a possible new 'regional connector,' but there is no funding set aside for plans to link I-65 in Bullitt County and I-71 in Oldham County.
