Renaldo Gill, 34, was charged with murder and DUI for the crash. The child's mother, Jasmine Simpson, faces charges after police say her children were not properly restrained in the vehicle. 

Officers responded to the crash just before 8 a.m. near the 2800 block of North Highway 1694, off Covered Bridge Road.
