The 15-year-old is being charged with murder and possession of a handgun by a minor.

So far in 2025, Louisville has recorded 10 homicide victims under 18 years old -- compared to 11 this time last year.  The drop is even more significant when it comes to nonfatal shootings of minors. 

Police said both juvenile victims were taken to Norton Children's Hospital and are expected to be okay.

The shooting happened at 11:40 a.m. June 8 at the park on Cypress Street.

Police said both suspects are connected to a number of carjackings and a street robbery over the past several weeks.
