LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville police arrested a juvenile Thursday for a double shooting at Algonquin Park earlier this month.
The shooting happened at 11:40 a.m. June 8 at the park on Cypress Street, Louisville Metro Police Spokesperson John Bradley said at the time.Ā
Two men were found shot near the basketball area of the park, and transported to University of Louisville Hospital where they were expected to survive. It's unclear if they remain hospitalized.Ā
LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating, and arrested a juvenile Thursday on first degree assault.
According to an arrest citation, the men were each shot in the leg. Two days after the shooting, on June 10, investigators followed up with the victims, who were able to identify the suspect from a social media photo.
Because the suspect is a juvenile, their name will not be released.Ā
