An electrical fire at a high-rise residential community operated by the Louisville Metro Housing Authority caused a power outage ahead of freezing temperatures expected overnight.

One person is dead and another was injured after crashing their car into a tree and a utility pole in Louisville's Buechel neighborhood Sunday evening.

The utility company said some customers that have damage to equipment at their home might be responsible for repairs before power can be restored.
