Officials warn Louisville interstate closure could cause early delays and confusion as drivers are rerouted.
Drivers traveling Interstate 65 and Interstate 264 in Louisville should expect overnight lane and ramp closures to continue as crews begin traffic work ahead of a major summer interstate shutdown.
The patching is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on I-264 West between mile markers 22 and 23, near U.S. 42 and Brownsboro Road.
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said an overnight ramp closure on I-71 north and lane closures on I-264 west on Monday in Jefferson County.
Interstate 264 will be closed in both directions from the I-264/I-64 interchange at mile point 18.7 to the I-264/I-71 interchange at mile point 22.7 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The work will close parts of Interstate 265/the Gene Snyder Freeway between Taylorsville and Shelbyville roads.
