Joseph Lawson, one of three men convicted in the murder of Bardstown mother Crystal Rogers, filed an appeal Monday.
A Nelson County man was indicted on a felony charge of retaliating against a participant in the legal process, specifically the Crystal Rogers murder trial, according to court records.
In one phone call, Brooks Houck tells his brother, Nick Houck "there's a good chance that I'm gonna die in here."
The judge did not allow media cameras in the courtroom during the trial, but released the court videos Thursday after verdicts had been reached in both trials of the Crystal Rogers murder case.
Brooks Houck, Rogers' boyfriend at the time of her disappearance, and his alleged accomplice, Joseph Lawson, will stand trial in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Next week, Warren County, Kentucky, will play host to one of the most high-profile murder trials central Kentucky has ever seen.
A judge declined to delay the May 27 trial of Steve Lawson, one of three defendants charged in the murder of Crystal Rogers in order to perform DNA testing on two hairs found in her car in 2015 that have not previously been tested.
A court date was set for May 1 to discuss where the trial should be moved. But the prosecution and defense teams came to an agreement on Christian County before the hearing, according to attorneys Kevin Coleman and Theo Lavit, who represent Joseph and Steve Lawson.
