Businesses at the site at Grinstead Drive and Lexington Road continue to wait on a timeline for work to start in earnest on the $554 million projectÂ
Metro Council approved a $114 million subsidy deal to help build the development at the corner of Lexington Road and Grinstead Drive near Cherokee Park.
The project at the corner of Lexington Road and Grinstead contains towers with apartments, offices and retail.
An attorney for the Jefferson Development Group told a community meeting on Wednesday that the group had finalized plans for One Park North.
Despite concerns about the project from some area residents who thought the project was "too big and too tall," Metro Council gave the controversial One Park project a green light Thursday night.
The council voted 24-0 to approve the project, with Councilman Brandon Coan, D-8, in whose district the development would take place, abstaining.
While some are posting yard signs against the project, GLI is giving it plenty of support.
