A firefighter was sent to the hospital for evaluation after falling through the floor while battling a house fire in southern Indiana.

According to Highlander Fire's Facebook page, a call came in around 5 p.m. Thursday.

The Palmyra Fire Department is spending more than $2 million on the fire station and it'll open next fall.
