Noel is already facing more than a dozen felonies related to fraud, theft, misconduct and public corruption. 

Indiana State Police are investigating former Clark County Sheriff Jamey Noel on corruption and fraud charges. Noel has been charged with 15 felonies related to fraud, theft, misconduct and public corruption.

KSP said a corrections officer was assaulted by several inmates at the Kentucky State Penitentiary in Lyon County around 8:45 a.m. on Dec. 25.
