The Kentucky Derby is now officially less than two weeks away, and local businesses are desperate for a revenue boost after a difficult winter, historic flooding and the cancellation of Thunder Over Louisville.
Mayor Craig Greenberg explained how the work is being prioritized as the click ticks down to the Kentucky Derby.
While the floodwaters have receded, the aftermath has left behind a mess of debris, including large 50-foot logs, plastic bottles, and Styrofoam, as volunteers and maintenance crews work together to clean up the park.
The Ohio River is going down but the mess it left behind is why the Waterfront Park needs help to clean up.
