The West Louisville Dream Team has proposed buying the property home to small businesses and services in Louisville's Parkland neighborhood.

The West End Opportunity Partnership will consider spending $2.1 million at a special meeting Wednesday evening to help buy and tear down the building for an affordable housing development led by Goodwill Industries of Kentucky.

The board of the West End Opportunity Partnership voted 9-9 on the proposal at a special meeting that considered the $2.1 million request 

The West End Opportunity Partnership, which guides investment in Louisville’s western neighborhoods, would spend $2.1 million for the land and lease the site to Goodwill for $1 a year

Nearly half of the Stellar Snacks' initial staff is from nine western neighborhoods, according to company figures.
