Reyna Katko joined WDRB as a reporter in June 2023 and began anchoring on the weekend for WDRB Mornings the following December. She previously worked as a reporter, producer and anchor for nearly three years at KOMU 8 News in Columbia, Missouri.
At her last station, Reyna covered stories ranging from the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl LVII win to alleged mistreatment at a Columbia day care. Reyna was nominated for a Missouri Broadcasters Association Award in April 2023 for her breaking news story about a deadly apartment fire.
Reyna is a proud graduate of the University of Missouri (M-I-Z!) where she studied broadcast journalism. Her time in the newsroom began during her high school years, with stories airing on WMC-TV, the NBC affiliate in Memphis, Tennessee. She said she's drawn to journalism because reporting allows her to meet people from all walks of life and share their stories.
Outside of work, Reyna loves reading books, seeing musicals, painting, and spending time with her rescue dog, Marlo!
