LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Pleasure Ridge Park High School has fired its head football coach after one season.

According to a letter sent home to parents, former University of Louisville and NFL lineman Brandon Dunn's contract wasn't renewed.

Dunn was a 2010 PRP graduate and played four years at UofL. Then, despite going undrafted, spent four years as a defensive lineman in the NFL.

In his first and only season as PRP's coach, Dunn went 2-9 overall and 0-8 in the class.

Dear PRP Football Players and Parents,

"At Pleasure Ridge Park High School Athletics, we are committed to providing our student-athletes with opportunities for growth and success. Our program strives for excellence while upholding the highest standards of pride, integrity, and sportsmanship—both on and off the field. We sincerely appreciate your ongoing support of your child and the PRP Football Program.

At this time, the PRP Administration has recommended the non-renewal of the Head Football Coach, Brandon Dunn, for the upcoming school year and moving forward.

School administration will begin an immediate search to hire our next Head Football Coach.

Coach Kenny Walker will serve as Interim Head Football Coach during the hiring process. Coach Walker brings extensive experience and leadership as a Head Football Coach and school administrator.

Our top priority is our students. Workouts will resume next week as we prepare for spring football practice, which begins on April 28, 2025.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me directly."

Nick Waddell
