LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — It's been a pretty eventful year for Justin Thomas.

He's now a father to an 8-month-old daughter, and he had a role (he says luckily playing himself) in the just released "Happy Gilmore 2."

He's also been playing pretty good golf.

Thomas got PGA tour win No. 16 this season and is back up to No. 4 in the world rankings.

But this week is about getting back to his roots. He's hosting his tenth AJGA Justin Thomas Junior Invitational with players from 21 states represented at the club he grew up playing, Harmony Landing.

"I mean I see all those kids on the chipping green and the amount of hours I spent down there and up on the putting green, outside the pro shop," said Thomas. "I even thought literally going from the clubhouse to here, I can't even fathom the amount of mozzarella sticks I've had inside that pool house for lunch. This was my life. I've arguably spent more time here than at my house growing up, so obviously a lot of great memories."

More memories are to be made this week.

The tournament begins Wednesday and runs through Friday.
