LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville City FC scored three first-half goals Saturday to come away with a dominant home opener win over Miami FC.
LouCity scored a trio of goals within 23 minutes, and held Miami scoreless in the second half to claim a 4-1 win at Lynn Family Stadium.
"I thought we started the game, obviously, really, really well," head coach Danny Cruz said in a news release. "On the front foot, we talked about setting the intensity here at home. We continue to try to make this place a fortress, as we have over the last couple of years."

Aiden McFadden found the back of the net first off a cross from Chris Donovan. Ray Serrano then doubled the lead with a goal from outside the box.
Just a few minutes later Donovan scored his first goal for LouCity off a corner from Jansen Wilson.
Miami scored in the 43rd minute, but Wilson stretched the lead for LouCity to 4-1 in the 68th minute.

Next for LouCity is a matchup with Southern Indiana FC at Lynn Family Stadium in the first round of the U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday, March 18, at 7 p.m.
USL Championship play will continue Saturday, March 21, at Lynn Family Stadium when LouCity faces Rhode Island FC at 4 p.m.
