LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The University of Louisville football team will begin the 2025 season with three straight home games for a second straight season, part of a schedule announced Monday night that will include a record number of home games.

The Cardinals will play in L&N Stadium eight times, just the second time the program has played that many home dates. The only other time it happened was 2008.

The schedule is highlighted, perhaps, by three games at the end. Clemson will visit on a Friday night, Nov. 14. The Cardinals then will head to SMU on Nov. 22 before finishing the regular season against rival Kentucky at home Nov. 29.

Louisville opens its schedule at home against Eastern Kentucky on Aug. 30, followed by James Madison in L&N Stadium a week later. After a bye week, the Cardinals get Bowling Green at home, before opening ACC play on the road at Pittsburgh on Sept. 27.

Other home games include Virginia on Oct. 4, Boston College on Oct. 25 and Cal on Nov. 8 — all of those are Saturday games.

Other road trips include a Friday night visit to Miami on Oct. 17 and Louisville's first-ever visit to Virginia Tech on Nov. 1.

Game times will be released at a later date.

Louisville coach Jeff Brohm returns the ACC Rookie of the Year Isaac Brown, who ran for 1,173 yards and 11 touchdowns as a freshman on a team that finished 9-4 overall, 5-3 in the ACC. He adds the transfer of USC quarterback Miller Moss, and a four-star edge rusher in C.J. May. The Cardinals have landed 21 transfers in the incoming class, heading into spring ball.
