LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – The University of Louisville football team jumped one spot to the No. 10 ranking in the most recent College Football Playoff poll, released by the CFP Committee in an ESPN broadcast Tuesday night.

The Cardinals (9-1) will head to Miami this weekend for a noon matchup. A win would put them into the Atlantic Coast Conference championship game for the first time.

Under coach Jeff Brohm, Louisville has built a 6-1 conference record, good for sole possession of second place in the league.

Missouri, a 2-loss team from the SEC, improved 5 spots to jump Louisville into the No. 9 spot. Missouri beat Tennessee last weekend.
The top four teams in the CFP poll are selected for college football’s postseason playoff. Georgia returned to the No. 1 spot in the rankings, bumping Ohio State to No. 2. Michigan is No. 3 with Florida State No. 4. Washington at No. 5 and Oregon at No. 6 are the first teams out.
