LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Jeff Brohm's second University of Louisville football team does not travel to Notre Dame until Sept. 28, the Cards' fourth game in 2024. But the TV network and kickoff time for the game in South Bend, Indiana, were set Wednesday.
The Cards and Fighting Irish will play at 3:30 p.m. (EDT) on Peacock.
Louisville will open the season with three consecutive home games, with Notre Dame the first road contest. Louisville's season opener is Aug. 31 against Jacksonville State in L&N Cardinal Stadium.
Notre Dame is expected to be a consensus preseason top-15 team this season while the Cards have been mentioned in several early top 25s.
The two schools have split the first four meetings, with the Cardinals taking the last encounter 33-20 last season at L&N Stadium. Jawhar Jordan rushed for two touchdowns as the 25th-ranked Cardinals handled the 10th-ranked Irish before a sell-out crowd in Louisville.
Louisville is 1-1 at Notre Dame Stadium, winning 31-28 in 2014 under Bobby Petrino and falling 12-7 during the 2020 COVID-19 season with former coach Scott Satterfield.
