LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --  Keith Kaiser spent some time with some Champion Arm Wrestlers who live nearby in Georgetown, IN.

Armwrestling is in Brad Spine's blood.

His dad Terry Spine, Mike and Terry West, accomplished arm wrestlers, let Brad tag along to matches as a young kid.

They would take an arm wrestling table to social and church event to practice.

Brad started beating bigger kids and by age 14 and less than 100 pounds, he could beat the whole family.

He got 3rd at his first open nationals at 16 and first national title at 17.

Since then, he's won 10 more national titles, roughly 30 state titles and currently ranked 6th in the world at 139lbs.

He has also passed on his knowledge of the sport to other athletes.

Freddy Edwards and Jon Reas have been training for a couple years and they both have secured left handed amateur national titles in Columbia, SC in 2015.

Jon, a 16-year-old at the time, was beating grown men.

Terry still gets involved coaching at tourneys.

With a sport unique sport like Arm Wrestling, you may not be able to find workout equipment to fit your needs, so you have to make it yourself.

Some of the unconventional routines are, climbing a ropes course in the woods, concrete block carrying, tire flipping, log carrying, hill climbing, car pushing, railroad tie dragging and more.

Terry's basement has been modified with custom gym equipment like oversized dumbbell handles, pvc pipe pulley rig, fabricated metal handle with a motorcycle chain, and a one-of-a-kind engineered training table built in 1979.

Their next competition is the Illinois State Armwrestling Championships at the end of January.
