LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Kentucky mortician took an unexpected twist in his life and has recently found himself TikTok famous.
Nathan Morris joined WDRB Mornings on Friday to talk about the many hats that he wears.
"Oops."
That's how Morris describes how he became TikTok famous. It was all a big mistake how he ended up going viral.
His alma mater came and visited the funeral home for a tour, and a social media manager created a small video reel of the tour and the processes that happen in a funeral home.
He posted the video on Morris's page and he got hundreds and thousands of views.
On top of a mortician, Morris is also a singer.Â
He started singing at a very young age, having to sing as punishment in front of his elementary class for talking too much.
"My teacher quickly realized that instead of a punishment it was more of a reward to me," Morris said on WDRB Mornings. "I enjoyed the attention."
He began taking lessons at 8 years old and started writing songs at 15.
Morris said on WDRB Mornings that he believes his videos became so popular as a result of the pandemic.
"We all lost so much, whether it be a will, a job, or a life partner," Morris said on WDRB Mornings. "I think it left us all interested in learning more about what we all have to eventually face in life.
