LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An iconic downtown Louisville restaurant staple is reopening after a major renovation.

Jeff Ruby Steakhouse reopens Saturday after a multi-million dollar renovation and a revamped Louisville- inspired menu, created by Louisville-native Chef Zac Young.

Friday will be Jeff Ruby Day in Louisville to celebrate the Grand Re-Opening of the downtown restaurant.

Chef Zac Young stopped by the WDRB studio to demonstrate one of his dishes he created that's featured on the new menu - roast chicken with confit marble potatoes and charred broccolini with skillet cornbread.

Jeff Ruby wouldn't be the same without its steaks. The restaurant has added new steak cuts and options on the new and improved menu, which features about 25 new menu items. A new table side preparation has also been added.

In addition to the menu revamp, the ambiance has been updated. New booths, a new marble countertop and a huge red Baby Grand Piano adds to the elegance of Jeff Ruby Steakhouse.

Reservations are still available for the reopening of Jeff Ruby Steakhouse on Saturday. To book a reservation, call 502-584-0102, or click here to go to the website.
