Christmas and cookies go hand in hand. And Italian cookie are the specialty at Adrienne & Company Bakery and Cafe'. Adrienne Holland, her mother, Myra Martino, show how to turn cookies and cupcakes into something special for the holiday. They're making melting snowman cookies, snowman cupcakes, Italian wedding cookies and ricotta cookies.
Adrienne & Company also hosts special holiday editions of their "Kids in the Kitchen" classes.

Peanut Butter Cookies
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup (two sticks) butter
2 eggs
2 1/5 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
Cream butter, sugar, brown sugar and peanut butter with a mixer.
Add eggs and mix.
Then combine flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder. Now mix slowly into the wet mixture.
Drop by rounded teaspoons full on to an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 15 to 17 minutes.
Oatmeal Raisin cookies
3 cups all purpose flour
1 pound margarine (four sticks)
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt
6 cups quick oats
3 cups raisins
Combine margarine, sugar, brown sugar and cream in a mixer.
Add eggs and vanilla and mix.
Combine flour, baking soda, salt and mix.
Add oatmeal and combine
Add raisins.
Drop by rounded teaspoons full on to an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 9 minutes.
