LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Sacred Heart School for the Arts is getting the community involved in their latest production.
WDRB's Keith Kaiser got a preview of The Music Man.
Sacred Heart School for the Arts (SHSA) has been providing arts education in Louisville for more than 50 years.
Founded by the Ursuline Sisters of Louisville, SHSA nurtures creativity and encourages self-expression through opportunities in dance, drama, music, and visual art.
All students, regardless of experience level, are provided the opportunity to showcase their talents.
Nearly 30 faculty members help young artists shine at Sacred Heart School for the Arts, especially during their community show involving performers of all ages.
Their latest production is The Music Man. The six-time, Tony Award-winning musical comedy has been entertaining audiences since 1957.
The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band that he vows to organize.
His plans is to skip town with the cash but he falls in love.
