LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A new café has opened inside the Speed Art Museum.

WDRB’s Keith Kaiser visited the new dining spot for a taste.

The Speed Art Museum in-house café is called est. 1927 by Marigold.

It offers comfort food for its guests, University of Louisville students, faculty and staff, and those looking for a new food experience in Old Louisville.

The new restaurant is operated by Adrienne and Kris Cole, the husband-and-wife team behind Marigold Catering Co. and the House of Marigold restaurant on Shelbyville Road.

Kris will serve as the restaurant’s culinary director and chef, while Adrienne will oversee all front-of-house operations.

Guests can expect some of the lunch and brunch favorites from the House of Marigold and other specials curated for the Museum’s exhibitions.

est. 1927 by Marigold serves popular dishes, including the popular banana pudding and build-your-own deviled eggs.

The signature cornbread, biscuits and avocado toast are on the menu that will change seasonally.

They also offer crafted cocktails and a selection of beer and wine.

The café’s name is a nod to the museum’s opening date and is the museum's exclusive catering partner.
