Our days in the 90s are now behind us and now we are moving forward into a more stormy pattern for our area. We really need the rain and we've got plenty of chances in the coming days, including today for some.

While today's rain chance is not widespread and some will not see any, that chance will go up for everyone in the coming days.

Showers and a few storms are expected to roll through our area first as we get into the late morning and early afternoon timeframe. Again, not everyone will see this, but if you do it will not last all day long and there will still be plenty of dry time.

This late afternoon we could see a few more develop, especially in our Kentucky counties where rain is most likely today. These storms could pack a little bit of a punch, or at least the ones that actually form, so a rogue severe storm or two can't be ruled out, but it is not a large concern for our area.

If you're heading to Louder Than Life today, my (Bryce) opinion would to bring a poncho just in case, but a washout is not expected.

Work week

Rain chances only climb into the work week. Monday morning could have wet conditions for the morning commute, but the roads are much more likely to be wet during the late afternoon and evening as our storm chances rise even more. A couple of those storms Monday evening could be on the strong side. While a rogue strong storm or two is possible, organized severe weather is not much of a concern. The main impact with any stronger storm would be gusty winds.

A low pressure will be rolling over our area later this week, specifically Wednesday and Thursday, which should bring in more widespread chances come mid-week.
