Demonstrators left mattresses, couches, televisions, dressers, a washing machine and more in the middle of the downtown Louisville streets, which border the Hall of Justice, Metro Hall and Jefferson Square Park.
Louisville residents facing eviction for failing to pay rent will get an additional seven days before being forced from their homes and information about rental-payment assistance programs available through Metro government under a "pilot project" announced Tuesday.
