LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The weekend is upon us, and there are plenty of things to do and see across Kentuckiana.

Here are a selection of events, markets, concerts and more happening Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29, 2025.

Barbie Truck Tour

You might be hearing a lot of "hi, Barbie" greetings this weekend in downtown Louisville.

That's because the National Barbie Doll Collectors Convention is coming to town.

The convention starts Thursday and runs through Saturday at The Galt House Hotel, bringing hundreds of the iconic doll's fans to the city to celebrate Barbie's influence on fashion and its influence on her over the decades.

While registration for the convention itself has sold out, according to its website, fans can still get a taste of the festivities at the Barbie Truck outside The Galt House.

The Barbie Truck Tour, which is on the road with a "Barbie Sports Club" theme, will also be in the city for duration of the three-day convention.

Guests can explore a special collection of merchandise during the pop-up experience that stops in cities across the U.S.

The truck will be set up in front of the valet area of The Galt House on North Fourth Street, off East Main, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.

The truck has exclusive items, including a special t-shirt, a track jacket and half-zip sweater, jewelry, bags, a thermal bottle and glass mug, a tote bag, duffle keychain and tote keychain.

Organizers said the Barbie Truck Tour launched in 2019 with the "Totally Throwback Tour" theme. Previous themes include the Barbie Malibu Truck Tour in 2021 and the Barbie Truck Dreamhouse Living Tour in 2023.

Kentucky Craft Bash

More than 50 Kentucky breweries will be pouring more than 175 beers at the 8th annual Kentucky Craft Bash this weekend.

The event takes place Saturday, June 28, on the Brown-Forman Lawn at Waterfront Park, 1301 River Road. Gates open at noon for VIP ticket holders and 1 p.m. for general admission.

Attendees can sample a wide range of craft beers — including experimental and limited-release brews — while enjoying live music and riverfront views.

The event is organized by the Kentucky Guild of Brewers, which supports and advocates for the state's craft brewing industry. Louisville Downtown Partnership is a sponsor.

Harrison County Fair

It's a southern Indiana tradition that's been going on for more than a century and a half — the Harrison County Fair in Corydon is happening through Saturday this weekend.

The 166th consecutive annual event makes it the oldest county fair in the state of Indiana to be continuously held in the same location — the Harrison County Fairgrounds.

The week is packed with good old fashioned entertainment like 4-H farm animals, carnival rides, fair food, Wild Willie’s Reptile Zoo, Truck & Tractor Pull and more.

Gates open Saturday at 3 p.m. The fair is free to attend.

Louisville Public Media 75th Anniversary Record Sale

Vinyl lovers will have the chance to dig through decades of music history at Louisville Public Media’s 75th Anniversary Record Sale this weekend.

The event takes place Saturday, June 28, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Music Alley, located at 619 S. Fourth Street — between LPM’s studio and the Mercury Ballroom.

More than 12,000 vinyl records will be available, including classical, opera, jazz, spoken word, and rare Louisville Orchestra First Edition recordings. Prices start at $1 for individual records and $5 for box sets. Shoppers can fill an LPM tote bag for $10 or purchase one on site for $20.

The event is free and open to the public. All sales are cashless, and proceeds benefit Louisville Public Media. Merchandise and food from the FlavaVille Food Truck will also be available.

More information is available at lpm.org/recordsale.

Stephen Foster Stakes

Some of horse racing’s biggest names will face off Saturday, June 28, in the $1 million Grade I Stephen Foster Stakes at Churchill Downs.

The 44th running of the race features seven older horses with a combined $26 million in earnings — including Kentucky Derby winner Mystik Dan, Breeders’ Cup Classic champ Sierra Leone, and Dubai World Cup contender Hit Show. Six of the seven entries are millionaires.

The 1 1/8-mile race is a “Win and You’re In” qualifier for November’s $7 million Breeders’ Cup Classic.

The Stephen Foster headlines a 12-race card that includes six stakes races, among them the $500,000 Fleur de Lis featuring Horse of the Year Thorpedo Anna, and presentations of the engraved Kentucky Derby and Oaks trophies.

First post is 12:45 p.m.
