LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Downtown Louisville got a taste of East and Southeast Asia on Saturday.

The second annual Asian Night Market was held at Fourth Street LIVE.

People got to sample East and Southeast Asian food, browse retail vendors, and even see performances of tai chi and sword dances.

The event also highlighted Asian entrepreneurs and small business owners throughout the community.

"We have over 30 vendors here, everybody is local," Amber Ma, Asia Institute Crane House program director, said. "We have people from the east end, we have people from the west end, we have Japanese food, Vietnamese food, Chinese food, Filipino food, Indian food and dessert, too."

Sept. 30 is an auspicious day for some Asian countries as it centers around the Chinese Autumn/Moon Festival.
