LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A local movie producer is getting ready for the premiere of his newest film "Unsung Hero," based on the story of Christian pop group For King and Country's family.

"In this story, the "Unsung Hero" is Helen, the mother. Really held the family together in a lot of ways during tough times," Tony Young, movie producer, said.

Young is from Louisville and Chairman of Kingdom Story Company, a production group focused on faith-based films.

For King and Country is a four time Grammy-award winning duo made up of brothers Joel and Luke Smallbone.

The brothers and their family immigrated from Australia after their father lost everything. Shortly after arriving to the states, their father lost his job, leaving the family stranded halfway across the world.

"This is the definition of close to home, we're seeing it's reaching out from two to 82 to folks around the world," said Joel Smallbone.

On Tuesday night, the brothers came to town for a special screening of the movie at Tinseltown Theater.

The brothers said relying on their family and church during difficult times has helped bring them to the success they have today.

"You're never living life thinking the moments one day I'm living right now could be a movie, you don't think like that, but when you start to think some of the stuff that we went through nearly 30 years ago and how much it has impacted who we are today it is a little strange because a lot of the things we walked through back then are the things I've built the foundation of my life on now," Luke Smallbone said.

"Recently, they said a family can survive without the nation but a nation can't survive without a family and I think this film depicts that as well as showing the American Dream," said Joel Smallbone. "You know we're products of the American Dream."

"Unsung Hero" official website describes the film as "based on a remarkable true story, a mum's faith stands against all odds; and inspires her husband and children to hold onto theirs."

"It's every moms story, every mom is an unsung hero, but not only that, I love the adventure of it," Joel Smallbone said.

The movie will start its run in theaters on Friday.
