LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Mt. Washington is gearing up for the return of good food for a good cause through its Farm to Table event.

The charity event offers a multi-course meal cooked by Chef Arielle Duncan. Each meal showcases fresh, local ingredients sourced from local farmers. Many of the produce and fresh food is on display weekly at Mt. Washington's award-winning farmers market.

Thanks to Kentucky Farm Bureau and the city, the event costs $75 per person.

The proceeds benefit young farmers in Bullitt County as well as Court Appointed Special Advocates, which supports abused or neglected children.

"Farm to Table is the close of the season for the farmers market for Mt. Washington," said Debi Bass, a Kentucky Farm Bureau agent. "It's a time where the community comes together. It's a great night, very relaxed, and, at the same time, we're raising money for charity. We're very excited to bring this back to the city of Mt. Washington."

The Farm to Table event is happening Sept. 14 in Mt. Washington.
