LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Oldham County Aquatics Center is expected to reopen Saturday for Memorial Day weekend.
The pool originally opened in 1998, but closed in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
It reopened briefly in 2021 before being closed again in 2022 for repairs after structural and mechanical problems were found in 2021. Last year, a $3.7 million renovation project began.
Now that the work is finished, guests will be able to enjoy the updated center this summer.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled just before noon on Saturday. Summer passes are on sale. For more information or to purchase passes, click here.
The funding to renovate the aquatics center was included in the $10 million approved by Oldham County Fiscal Court to build a new animal shelter and renovate the aquatics center.
