LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Oscar Meyer Wienermobile is coming to Louisville later this week as part of its 90th anniversary celebration.

It will arrive Thursday and stay through next Wednesday, so you'll want to keep your eyes peeled for it around town.

This is the 90th year for the 27-foot-long hot dog on wheels. In celebration, Oscar Meyer is looking for some new "Hotdoggers" to drive the Wienermobile .

The company will select 12 drivers to join this year's class of Hotdoggers. Leaders said it's important to note that the role is highly coveted, with fewer people having held it than visited outer space.

The Hotdogger program started in 1988, nearly 50 years after the first Wienermobile hit the highways in 1936.

The Wienermobile "hauls buns" to cities across the country year-round, spreading smiles and Wiener Whistles to those who take a tour of the iconic hot dog on wheels.
