The B-25 bomber "Miss Mitchell" used in WWII parked at Bowman Field in Louisville, Ky., on June 6, 2024. It served in the 310th Bomb Group, 57th Bomb Wing of the 12th Air Force in North Africa and Italy, completing over 130 missions. The Kentucky Veterans Program Trust Fund sponsored flights for 17 WWII vets in honor of the 80th anniversary of D-Day. (WDRB/Reyna Katko)
