LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The official Kentucky Derby Festival is now available.Ā

The poster, titled "A Season of Love," was designed by Louisville artist Kim Perry and produced by Welch Printing at 350 Boxley Avenue, a longtime print partner of the Kentucky Derby Festival.

Perry didn't start painting until 2018 when she was inspired by an Irish artist. She's known for her original Kentucky-inspired pieces showcasing bourbon, horse racing and landscapes.

"The inspiration for this year's poster stemmed from the vibrant energy and sense of community that the Derby Festival embodies," Perry said in a written statement. "I aimed to capture that joy, tradition and excitement that define the event. I also wanted the poster to serve as a love letter to Louisville … celebrating its rich culture and the incredible sense of togetherness that the Derby Festival brings to life."

Perry's Derby poster features images showcasing festival traditions like hot air balloons and fireworks over the Louisville skyline.Ā

"You'll see it's a story of what the Kentucky Derby festival does for this community," she said. "And at the end of the day, we're all trying to get to the finish line."
