"Festival fans and families at all fitness levels can participate. It’s also an opportunity for runners to get a warm-up in ahead of their half or full the next day."

The race is open to anyone 10 years and older. KDF said runners who complete both the 5K race and minimarathon or marathon will receive a special medal.

According to a news release, participants will run a looped course that starts and finishes at the Harbor Lawn in Waterfront Park. The course includes a lap on the Big Four Bridge.

It costs $45 to register for the race. All 5K participants will receive a medal and a shirt.
