LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Spirits were high and voices were raised Sunday for a special event at Waterfront Park.
Several Gospel artists and choirs took the stage at The Kentucky Derby Festival's GospelFest on the Waterfront.
The three-hour event showcased choirs from around the region. Headliners included Tatiana Barnett, Nate Bean and 4Given, Antwaun Cooks, and Jason Clayborn.
For some, it was their first time attending, while for others it's a tradition.
"We can have church anywhere - we just go inside the building and fellowship with each other but takes a unit to fellowship and enjoy each other," Cynthia Maxwell, performer, said.Â
WDRB's Gilbert Corsey co-hosted the event.Â
The concert was free with a 2026 Pegasus Pin.
