KHS officials say the main adoption center on Steedly Drive will be closed until at least Dec. 18.
The Humane society will use the Natural Disaster Emergency Relief Grant from Petsmart to provide supplies to local animal shelters.
The shelter is still getting animals from Dawson Springs more than two weeks after the tornadoes.
