LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Michael Bowman won the Democratic nomination for Kentucky State Treasurer on Tuesday and moved on to face incumbent Allison Ball in the November general election.
Ball, who is seeking her second term, ran unopposed.
Bowman, a Louisville banker, had received two-thirds of the vote with 94% of Kentucky precincts reporting. Josh Mers, his opponent, had 34%.
