Deputy Chief Emily McKinley said patrol officers responded to the 9800 block of Vieux Carre Drive at 7:45 p.m. on a report of a person "experiencing a mental health or behavioral health crisis." That's off Shelbyville Road and South Hurstbourne Parkway.
People who live in District of Hurstbourne, where an officer involved shooting took place Friday, said they can't come to terms with how police being called to respond to a mental health crisis resulted in a woman being killed by police.Â
Relatives of Katelyn Hall said her mental health had been deteriorating in recent years and believe the situation could have been handled differently.
