LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — An emergency closure is in effect in Jeffersonville, Indiana, after a road collapsed Monday evening.
According to Jeffersonville officials, 8th Street is closed to through traffic between Main Street and Nachand Lane. Only local traffic will be permitted during the closure.
The cause of the collapse is unknown. City crews are expected to investigate Tuesday morning.

- Eastbound 8th Street: Use Main Street
- Westbound 8th Street: Use Nachand Lane

- Full closure at Amanda B. Cole Avenue
- Amanda B. Cole Avenue access:
- Access to Amanda B. Cole Avenue will remain open from westbound 8th Street only.
