Students are benefitting from the blood drive held Friday because they're getting money for the medical program for each student and teacher who donates blood.
Kentucky Blood Center's annual Big Blue Crush goes from Nov. 18-22 in an effort to ensure a healthy blood supply for the Thanksgiving holiday.
The blood drive will be held at Louisville Slugger Field in downtown Louisville from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22.
