LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man is dead after a fatal crash on Interstate 64 East near Echo Trail Road on early Thursday morning.
According to LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell, officers responded to a call of a vehicle collision around 1:30 a.m. on Interstate 64 East at mile marker 21.
Upon investigation, officials said the man struck the tail end of a semi-truck. The truck was sitting in the right shoulder of the roadway.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene after receiving fatal injuries, according to Mitchell.
LMPD's Traffic Unit is investigating.
