Alameter Court fire

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A person is dead after a house fire in Louisville's PRP neighborhood early Friday morning.

According to PRP Fire Chief Jason Meiman, fire officials were called to the 7200 block of Alameter Court around 2:45 a.m. on reports of a structure fire with a rescue.

Heavy fire was discovered in the rear of the house when they arrived. It took 42 firefighters around 25 minutes to control the fire.

Meiman said one person died, but there were no other injuries reported.

Louisville Metro Arson is conducting the investigation.
