LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Firefighters rescued one person from a burning home in Louisville's Newburg neighborhood early Tuesday. 

According to a release from Asst. Chief Dewayne Hutchens with the Fern Creek Fire Department, fire officials were called to the 4200 block of Monticello Avenue just after 7 a.m.

Fire officials at the scene told WDRB that firefighters searched the home and rescued one victim, who was taken to the hospital for treatment. There's no word on their condition. 

Crews with the Okolona Fire Protection District also responded.
